Hello everyone…How is it going?
Long time no write… I’m sorry for not writing earlier but I kept on postponing to include pictures from more activities and events. So now I have lots of stuff to tell and show..
Last time I updated you was just after my birthday, and before the final rush of my master’s degree… By mid November we finished the projects and exams and got our results back… Bjorn and I did well and are very happy with the results.
Then Bjorn had about 6 weeks to go before he left back to Malta. So we had to do the most of it…we visited the Jenolan caves, a few beaches, did the harbour bridge climb, went to the “Foo Fighters†concert, and of course a big farewell party for Bjorn with around 30 friends attending.
I also attended to the Germany 2006 world cup qualifier between Australia and Uruguay at a packed Telstra Stadium in Sydney with a crowd over 86,000! It was a thriller as Australia neutered Recoba and Uruguay’s divine right to qualify. The stadium exploded when Australia scored the final penalty at the shoot out to book a ticket to Germany.
On Christmas, we had a BBQ lunch at my girlfriend’s place… it was a hot day so the pool of the neighbours came handy J then another big dinner at my uncles place… turkey, ham, lobster, pork, prawns, snapper and a hundred different sweets!
Bjorn left on boxing day…. And I spent the following two days cleaning up and organising my room…. Removed one bed and added a desk and some shelving.
And last Friday morning, for the new year weekend, I went to the central coast with my friends in a town called Kincumber and stayed in a huge house called the rainforest retreat because it’s in the middle of trees with all the wildlife around… but at the same time is only 10 minutes away from the nicest beaches.. The huge house had no air conditioning, temperatures rose well over 40 degrees, and bush fires were relatively close, some 15 km away but we were never in any danger.
As usual, I am sending the pictures in FOUR separate emails for mailbox size purposes… Hopefully by next time I will have my own website where to post updates and photos… And if you would like your own website, here is my latest creation (spent quite some time on it after the exams, and will hopefully invest more time on it depending on your feedback)…. just for you to easily create and maintain your own website… absolutely no technical skills required… and it’s free… www.freedynamicwebsites.com …and contact me for any help or feedback.
Now I am looking for a full time job here to make up for the money I’m spending… will keep you posted….
I am looking forward to hear news from all of you…
I hope you all had a great festive season and a good kick start to 2006…
Peace and Love from down under….
Patrick
p.s. as always… if you would like to not receive further emails, or you prefer a different email address, or would like more photos, please tell me…
