My Thoughts
Thursday 9th February 2006, 21:46 - While I was on my bed listening to Coldplay's X&Y i started thinking of what's happening to this world. Is society doing any progress towards a better state? Is there currently a living Ghandi, a Jesus, a Buddha or anyone else who has the power to change the current situation? War and terror to peace and love? Who unites and not divides. We have developed technologies and sciences, been to the moon and built a global network of communications.
Yet we can't get anyone to agree on anything. It seems like we developed so many complicated things but cannot agree on the simple stuff. Is there a principle value or statement that everyone would agree with? What about this: "We are the beings of Earth, the third planet from the Sun. We live and let live. We love and bring peace." ? What's wrong with that? Why can't the world revolve around that? Why can't we go back to the basics? We have a world, that is very fragile. We're living centuries but the world has lived trillions of years. The world has seen different eras and we are only living in second of it. So I wonder what era comes next...
